Related information

Foundations for Work (FfW) will improve the competences of young immigrants to improve their job prospects and quality of life in their host country, and to better access further, mainstream training. Specifically, it will:

a) Carry out an in depth needs analysis of the barriers to and limitations of current VET provision

b) Modify and extend existing paper based materials to generate a multimedia DVD and resource pack for VET teachers for classroom or one-to-one use.

c) Pilot test the resource with at least 60 young immigrants and 15 trainers to further improve its quality and relevance

d) Encourage maximum exploitation of the DVD by distributing a project report, best practice report, case study film, and through cross-sectoral forums for policy makers and VET trainer workshops

e) Evaluate and present commercialization strategies including ECVET accreditation in order to ensure long-term contribution of the resource
