Business, the Chinese way
This is an introductory course on doing business the Chinese way. You will learn some basic Chinese including business terms, but the focus is on uncovering the secrets needed to succeed when doing business with the Chinese. Discover the dos and don'ts of meetings, meals - and much more.
The course is in English. You do not need to speak Swedish to take part in this course.
PrerequisitesYou do not need to know any Chinese, although it may help if you do know some basics.
AimPrimarily to teach the dos and don'ts of a Chinese business setting, along with some basic Chinese language, business terms and relevant aspects of Chinese culture.
ContentsApart from some basic Chinese vocabulary and expressions, you will learn about:
- Greeting and appropriate topics for small talk
- Body language
- Cultural differences within China
- Dining and the importance of food and drink
- Tips for successful negotiating in a Chinese context
TeacherYour teacher is a native Mandarin Chinese speaker, with a background in teaching and translating Chinese. She has worked across many business sectors including the movie industry, where she taught Chinese to foreign actors and was China casting director of several Hollywood films. She speaks excellent English.
Course materialBring material for taking notes. Your teacher will provide all other material needed.
RegistrationTo register, click on "Boka kursen nu" to the right. Choose between the Swedish and the English booking form. If you do not have a Swedish personal number, you need to use the English booking form. You can choose payment by credit card or by invoice (the latter only possible if you have a Swedish personal number). Shortly after registering, you will receive a confirmation on your email. About one week prior to the start of the course, you will receive a notification with practical information, and an invoice, if you have chosen this method of payment.
