Swedish Language and Culture

The Swedish Language and Culture program is a full-time program (around 30 academic hours per week). The lectures on Swedish / Scandinavian culture are conducted in English. The Swedish Language and Culture program leads up to the advanced fluency level (C1), which is required, for instance, by Socialstyrelsen (The National Board of Health and Welfare). It is also needed for working life in general. 

The program consists of the following courses:

1. Swedish language
2. Lectures on Swedish culture and history (in English)
3. Lectures on other Scandinavian countries' (Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Finland) history, culture, economy, etc. Each lecture on one country at a time (in English)

Academic One Year Program

The program is divided into eight courses. The program starts on beginner level (A1) and ends on advanced fluency level (C1), which is required, for instance, by Socialstyrelsen (The National Board of Health and Welfare). It is also needed for admission to Swedish universities.

Academic Half-Year
The program consists of four courses. The program starts on beginner level (A1) and ends on the intermediate level B1+.

* Includes language instruction, course literature, course certificate and social activities. NOTE! The additional (non-refundable) application fee of 1500 SEK must be paid separately.

* The course fee does not include the optional program in Swedish for Medical Staff. The course fee for this additional program is 8000 SEK and may be paid after the start of the Swedish Language and Culture program.
