DigCompAE - New Ways to Integrate DigComp into Adult Education Holistically

The DigCompAE project will provide insight into how adult education organisations integrate DigComp into their overall processes, both on the level of delivering educational offers (courses, seminars, training), and on the level of strategic planning.

This project has two long-term goals.

1) Promote digital competences of citizens in the EU

2) Strenghten the position of adult education providers on the market

As steps to reach these goals we have the following direct objectives:

● Enable adult education organization to recognize and promote their learners’ digital competences systematically through making the EC’s DigComp reference framework part of their educational planning and delivery

● Encourage other adult education organizations across Europe to enter into similar change processes by sharing the results of this project with them.

The target group:

DIRECT BENEFICIARIES

Direct beneficiaries are adult education organizations and their staff, consisting of a) management b) pedagogues doing the educational planning c) pedagogues in active teaching.

FINAL BENEFICIARIES

Final beneficiaries are adult learners in the participating countries who, through the efforts undertaken in the project, will be able to enjoy education opportunities of improved quality, especially in respect to transparency of learning goals and learning outcomes in the area of digital skills.

There are two levels: first, the project will have direct effect on the learners (customers, participants) of the organizations in the project consortium as they will get offered educational opportunities in a more transparent, competence-oriented way of presentation and delivery; second, the project will affect also learners (customers, participants) of other adult education providers as the project will make DigComp, as well as good practice of using it, more available in general (awareness raising for DigComp approaches).
