Who is this course for?
Students who want to prepare for a Cambridge C1 Advanced exam. You should already be at B2+ level (upper-intermediate) in order to take the course.
Course Objectives and Content
The aims of the C1 Advanced preparation course are to:
- practice, improve, and build confidence in reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills based on the exam
learn and practise specific exam techniques - become completely familiar with the format and timing of the exam so you know exactly what to expect
- develop and improve advanced grammar and vocabulary
- boost your confidence and fluency in speaking English
- fine-tune your writing skills and practise different text types
- introduce you to the digital exam format
Working methods
- Classes take place online once a week for six weeks from 17:30 – 19:45
- The course is taught exclusively in English by an experienced instructor, either a native English speaker or someone with equivalent proficiency
- You are expected to take an active part in lessons by working in pairs or small groups with classmates and the teacher
- You will be given regular homework assignments and recommendations for extra study for further practice throughout the course
- You are encouraged to complete practice tests between lessons
- You will receive feedback on writing tasks set by the teacher

How to register for the exam
All participants are entitled to a 10% discount on our exam fees (not included in the course fee). The teacher will provide you with a registration form and you can register for the exam date of your choice. The final date of entry is 3 working days before each exam date. We recommend that you register as soon as possible after the course has finished so what you have learned is still fresh. All exams at the Stockholm centre are digital (but taken in person at the centre).
