The Modern/Contemporary Dance Education is an education for you who want to be challenged into become a professional dancer and artist.
It's a one year education and you are eligible for student aid from CSN. You can apply to CSN from your 18th year.
Under the leadership of some of the foremost educators and dancers in Sweden, you will explore your own choreographic language as well as dance technique and musicality.
Classes in contemporary, ballet, jazz and street as well as eurhythmic and choreography provide a good foundation for applying to higher dance education in Sweden or internationally. To prepare for this we provide audition training with an external professional jury.
During the year we offer opportunities for internships at places like Skånes Dansteater in Malmö or at Norrdans in Härnösand. It can also be a place of your choice.
Former students have continued on to higher education in Sweden and around Europe for example, SEAD Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, The Danish Scene Kunst School, Amsterdam University of the Arts SNDO.
