Innehåll
In this workshop, the dancer will experience a complete 90 minute Horton Technique class, taking the body way off center, sending energy in all directions. To bring it all back to center, we finish with a 45 minute Pilates class, activating the Power House (Core) to gain both control and freedom throughout the body. In the Pilates portion of our workshop, we prioritize breath and rhythm while focusing on the balance between length, strength, and fluidity, just as we do in Horton, only without placing any stress on the joints at all. Pilates is a fantastic method for injury rehabilitation and prevention, as it is mostly non weight bearing and therefor does not place any stress on the joints, tendons, or ligaments. And most importantly, Pilates helps to promote and maintain positiver energy through health of body and mind. Whatever level, background, or age......the student will experience this as an art form that moves, breathes, and DANCES!
