Who is this course for?

This is an English-language class for everybody, no matter your origin, gender, age or experience level! For your own sake, please rely on your doctor’s advice and inform the course leader if you have any serious injuries or diseases or are pregnant. I will offer modifications that fit most body types so you can choose to do a more accessible or more demanding variation of many asanas (yoga poses).

Goals

  • End the year with self-care and a consistent weekly yoga routine that you can carry into 2026.
  • Get to know—or rediscover—some essential asanas.
  • Reduce stress by focusing on your breath and moving mindfully.
  • Improve flexibility little by little, because “Saying you’re not flexible enough to do yoga is like saying you’re too dirty to take a shower.” (Flexibility comes with practice!)
  • Extra: Get inspired for your at-home yoga practice with class recommendations and email resources.

What can you expect?

After a warm-up sequence and an occasional breathing exercise, this class will vary between energizing and calming yoga poses and always end with Savasana, the final relaxation lying on your back. The class is not a full-body workout, but a soft sequence of movements that can include more challenging elements.

Setup

We meet four times in total, for one hour each session. Bring comfortable clothing, e.g., sports clothes and socks to wear during the final relaxation. Yoga mats, blocks and some blankets are available in the room, but you’re welcome to bring your own.

Yoga and meditation have been part of my daily life for many years. In early 2023, I completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training in India and have been teaching beginners and all-level classes ever since. I primarily draw inspiration from Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. Hatha yoga, often considered the foundation of postural yoga, emphasizes holding poses for several breaths. Vinyasa (flow) yoga, on the other hand, is dynamic and creative, with a seamless transition between poses in sync with the breath.
