The course helps you to prepare for the Cambridge C1 exam focusing on time frames, study techniques and other tips so that you feel more confident on the day of the exam. We work mostly with the Writing and Reading tasks, however you will also get training in the Speaking part.
This course is online, so you need access to a computer with a camera, microphone and speakers as well as an internet connection.
The minimum level for the course is B2. If you are unsure of your level, please take our web-based language test.
Lessons 1, 2 and 3, Writing
There are two written task in this part of the exam. We will look at both areas in some detail.
You will have the opportunity to practise your writing by answering three previous writing exam questions for which you will receive detailed feedback. This will ensure you are ready for the writing exam and will also give your teacher an insight into any grammatical problems you may need help with.
We will look at writing styles and opening and closing arguments. You will also be given written assignments for the next class.
Lesson 4, Writing and Reading
Feedback will be given on the completed homework, both individually and in the whole group. General grammatical errors, phrases and expressions etc. which have been incorrectly used will be covered.
Reading consists of 56 questions and makes up 40% of the entire exam. You will be given various texts and tests in class. We will also talk about how to maximize your time.
Lesson 5, Writing and Speaking
Feedback will be given on all written homework.
Speaking. There are four tasks in the speaking test. We will practice all four tasks, using pair work, and individual presentations.
