Spanish for beginners - through English - online
Prerequisites
This is a course for those who have not studied Spanish before.
Goals
The goal for level A1* is for you to be able to understand and use simple sentences and have basic conversations with someone who speaks slowly and clearly.
Course Content
In this course, you will learn:
- Common words and simple phrases
- How to talk about yourself
- How to ask simple questions and understand basic answers
- Basic grammar
- How to speak and write about simple topics
- Culture and society
Course Structure
The focus is on oral communication, but you will work with all skills, such as speaking, writing, reading, and listening comprehension. You are expected to be active in class and have good opportunities to influence the course content and structure. Expect a few hours of homework between sessions.
Instructor
Your instructor is a native Spanish speaker. The instructor holds an academic degree and has strong pedagogical skills.

Course materials are not included in the course fee. Information about which book to use and where to purchase it is usually provided with the course invitation.
