About the course
You gain a basic knowledge of Swedish so that you can be understood and understand others in simple everyday situations. The course is fast paced and suitable for those who want to learn Swedish quickly. Swedish A1 is for beginners who do not know any Swedish.
56 studying hours with 17 meetings gives you a full length course that gives you the whole base for continuing on A2-courses.

Content
You will work with conversation, pronunciation and understanding during the course and you will take the first steps in reading and writing Swedish. You also get an insight into Swedish culture and Swedish society.
Examples of course content:
- Greetings and small talk
- Words and sentences so that you can describe yourself, your family and your work
- Everyday situations: in store or in a restaurant and café
- Alphabet and numbers
- Weekdays and months
- Directions
- Introduction to Swedish grammar
Work methods
- The course will be adapted to the students’ needs and wishes. You are expected to be active during the course and you will get homework between lessons.
- Our experienced trainers are Swedish native speakers. The trainers vary the teaching and create a pleasant and supportive learning environment. We accept a maximum of 12 participants in each course.
Book list
- Our course book, Rivstart A1+A2, is up-to-date and also has digital material. In this course we work through chapters 1-10. Please note: All chapters are not studied together during the classes. You are expected to study some of it on your own.

Stig Bertelsen
”Det är svårt att sia, speciellt om framtiden." (Robert Storm P.) . Stig har en universitetsutbildning i Drama-Teater-Filmvetenskap, sociologi och informationsteknik.
Han är senare utbildare i webdesign, grafiska designprogram, samhällskunskap, naturguidningspedagogik, danska, ledarskapsutbildningar, data, svenska för utlandsfödda, coaching och mycket mera.
Stig Bertelsen är född i Köpenhamn och anlände till Sverige med färja som barn. Som barn är alla språkgenier och snart lärdes bohusländska dialekten in för att ett par år senare bytas mot skånska diftonger och rullande r. Stig är en nutida renässansman med en bildning som spänner från musik och hälsa till natur och livsåskådningsfrågor.
– Min vision med lärandet är att efter varje lektionstillfälle ha lärt ut intressant kunskap, samtidigt som jag själv också har lärt något nytt av deltagarna, säger Stig.
